Job Description
Sr. Director, Employer Clinical Practice will represent CVS Caremark’s clinical portfolio in the external marketplace and have overall responsibility for leading our specialized team of Clinical Advisors that counsel employer plan sponsors on cost-effective and clinically appropriate pharmacy benefit management. You will be responsible for relationship management with our largest and most strategic customers and the clinical practice leads at the major consulting firms. The Employer Clinical Practice lead will also collaborate cross departmentally with internal partners to ensure our field teams and leadership teams obtain the necessary clinical information, clinical communications, program updates and enhancements for CVS Caremark to effectively meet the clinical needs of our customers and the marketplace. You will also be accountable for coordinating clinically related training, clinical communications and program updates. You may also represent CVS Caremark at external speaking engagements from time to time. Lastly, you will partner with the employer sales leadership team to maintain overall client satisfaction, drive profitable growth and achieve strategic imperatives. Your success will be achieved through:

- Serve as a clinical influencer within the employee benefits community (clients and consultants) who represents the organization with character and integrity
- Building and leading a high-performing team focused on strategy, planning and execution to meet client needs
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of CVS Caremark’s clinical portfolio, marketplace dynamics & trends, as well as our employers customer’s needs
- Ability to form partnerships and affect change within a highly-matrixed organization
- Exhibit well developed interpersonal skills with an emphasis on effective interaction with various management levels and peer groups
- Facilitating cross-departmental work groups, tasks, and projects that result in teams delivering programs and services that solve our client’s unmet needs
- Organizational design and service model efficiencies that drive improved quality and client satisfaction

Required Qualifications
Active pharmacist license in the state of employment that is in good standing
Ability to travel for business frequently

Preferred Qualifications
* 10+ years of clinical experience within a PBM, health plan, health care consulting, or related managed care industry
* 10+ years of client relationship management and business development expertise
* 10+ years of experience and knowledge with self-funded employer plans
* 5+ years of experience in operations, training, market positioning, and communications in a leadership role is desired
Knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy

BS Pharmacy or PharmD
