Process Engineer Job Description:

Aerotek Inc. has partnered with a local division of a global automotive supply manufacturing company, who is in immediate need of a Process Engineer for a 3-6 month contract. Responsibilities of the Process Engineer include:

Essential Functions:

Top Skills:
1. AP/QP
2. PPAP
3. FMEA
4. Someone who can look at a process - document the process and put together a flow diagram / flow plan
5. Someone who can read assembly component part drawings
6. Microsoft office
7. Working knowledge of CAD

Responsibilities:
-Automotive problem solving
-work with the quality and manufacturing team to determine root cause of the problem - corrective action implementation of the corrective action within the process. if they need do this by tooling, change the method, adjust the mechanics, get a programmer, etc.. they will need to know what to do.
- they need to have the mechanical ability to understand how to do this job.
- Someone who can look at a process - document the process and put together a flow diagram / flow plan.
-Someone who can read assembly component part drawings.

Performance Monitoring:
-effective closure of customer issues
-implementation of poke yoke

Best vs. Average:
-10 years experience in process / manufacturing / automotive.
-automotive / problem solving
-implementation
-AP/QP PPAP
-FMEA
