Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an on a --direct placement -- opportunity with a leading company in the Blackville, South Carolina area. In this position candidates will be a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer ( or possibly Chemical Engineer) with 7 - 20 years experience in plant operations and maintenance. The plant will run 24/7 with 3 shifts per day, and is expected to initially have approximately 15 total employees. This is the first plant being built to commercialize this new technology, which uses microwave energy to convert the waste plastics to the synthetic oil product. The plant manager will also be involved in the project management for the completion of the commercial plant, as well as, its start-up and shakedown. Once the first commercial plant is up and running, many additional plants will be located throughout the country (and possibly world). In addition, there will be focus on expanding plant capacity, which will also involve increasing staff. In addition to technical qualifications, the job will include typical plant manager responsibilities, such as: Hire and train staff, and establish individual job functions. Establish plant operations, maintenance and safety procedures. Direct and coordinate plant operations in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for plant production goals and product quality control. Establish shift work schedules. Ensure environmental compliance. Responsible for continued employee training and employee morale. Responsible for maintaining supply of feedstock and product sales.
