Job Description :

Summary:

Responsible for providing facility management leadership in a K-12 education environment. Develop a team oriented and innovative work atmosphere to help the school district fulfill its mission while improving efficiencies, reducing costs and delivering quality custodial services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership and direction for custodial services in a school environment including but not limited to:

* Oversight of capital and operational budget.

* Development of policies and procedures which successfully provide efficient and effective services.

* Provide sound employee relations practices in accordance with company guidelines.

* Research and implement improvements in building products and/or systems which will serve to better utilize human and financial resources.

* Act as liaison between Custodial Department and other departments of the district. Tailor services provided in order to meet the needs of various departments within fiscal and staffing guidelines.

* Remain current on all government laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the position, and ensure regulatory compliance.

* Coordinate all safety policies within the department.

* Prepare written reports as required.

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:

1. At least 3 to 5 years of successful Facilities Management experience in a educational environment with 3 years at management level.

2. Knowledge of effective management techniques including record keeping, reporting, budgeting, inventory control and cost, personnel and performance analyses.

3. Experience in operations involving custodial services.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Ability to implement sound operational plans.

2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

3. High level of energy and enthusiasm.

4. Strong commitment to customer service.
