Job Description

AFL Telecommunications, a leading fiber optics telecommunications company has an opening for a Design Engineering Support Co-opin our Duncan, SC facility. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity while gaining knowledgeable work experience AFL is the organization!

The individual will provide technical assistance supporting AFL's Conductor Accessories Group Business Unit.

Responsibilities include:

* Assist the engineering team in converting old hard copy substation drawings to 3D models using AutoCad Inventor.
* Assist the team on new designs for substation products that we do not have tooling for including 3D modeling, cost analysis, manufacturing interface, and creation of fixturing to make the part.

Skills/Requirements

* Currently pursuing an Engineering Bachelor s degree in Mechanical
* At least Sophomore standing with a minimum 2.5 GPA
